HelicotecUT® Plus is a qualitative rapid test to detect Helicobacter pylori in gastric biopsies based on the activity of the enzyme urease. The test has been designed on a polypropylene well with a urea containing cellulose support. A sample with Helicobacter pylori will react with the urea liberating ammonia producing a shift in pH.
